Norway's sovereign wealth fund, the world's largest with $2.2 trillion in assets, divested almost all of its investments on the Bucharest stock exchange late last year, keeping only one company in its portfolio. The fund also strongly reduced its exposure to Romania's government debt.
The Norwegian sovereign wealth fund held shares in four companies in Romania in the middle of last year – OMV Petrom (0.16%), Banca Transilvania (0.16%), One United Properties (1.76%) and Globalworth Real Estate Investments (0.22%) – in a cumulative value of 31.8 million dollars.
