Police use water cannons to flush away opposition protesters near the parliament building in Tbilisi.
Demonstrators build barricades with electric scooters and burn garbage cans. The crowd throws stones and debris at the security forces, some blind the police with lasers. According to law enforcement officers, the rally went beyond the law.
In response, the security forces were forced to use tear gas, pepper spray and unpleasant plus 6 water cannons.
It all started after the prime minister’s statement about the suspension of discussions on the country’s accession to the European Union until 2028, with President Salome Zurabishvili participating in the action.
