26 January 13:10

The Krasnoyarsk Territory will take part in river bank cleanups within the framework of the federal project “Water of Russia” of the national project “Ecological Well-Being”.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry of the Krasnoyarsk Territory said that the first harvesting will take place in the south of the region in April. In total, more than 500 environmental actions to clean up water bodies are planned. All waste is transported to specialized landfills.

“Traditionally, in September, we will hold the main event of the action in Krasnoyarsk – the central event to clean up the banks of the great Yenisei. Every year, more and more residents of our vast region are happy to join these initiatives, making their invaluable contribution to nature conservation,” said Natalya Dankovtseva, head of the department for the protection and rational use of water bodies.

Schoolchildren, students, volunteers and community members will take part in the events. Among the regular participants are students and teachers of the Divnogorsk College of Forestry Technologies. “Every year, our teachers, together with students, collect garbage on the banks of the Yenisei, as well as near the territory of the Kubovy and Germagenov streams, where residents and guests of the city like to relax. This year we will join the action again and start cleaning in May,” said the director of the educational institution, Olga Skvoznyakova.

Announcements about the upcoming cleanups, which all residents of the region will be able to join, will be published in the official groups of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on social networks. Organizers will provide equipment for garbage collection on site.
