Despite the extremely low temperatures that persisted over the past week, SUEK-Krasnoyarsk enterprises – Borodinsky, Nazarovsky and Berezovsky open-pit mines – continued to ship coal.

“The work was carried out in accordance with previously developed regulations: the equipment worked in a “gentle” mode, conditions were created for the safe work of employees, since the miners went to shifts even at −48°! — notes General Director of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk Evgeny Yevtushenko. “I believe that we have fully completed the task set by the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on the eve of the frost: we have provided all stations and boiler houses in the region with fuel. Moreover, we formed reserves even before the onset of frost.”

As temperatures rise, coal mining enterprises are gradually returning to normal operation.

Let us recall that SUEK-Krasnoyarsk is the main supplier of coal for the thermal power plants of the regional capital, the largest state district power plants in the region, as well as for stations and boiler houses, industrial enterprises and housing and communal services facilities in Siberia and the Far East. More than 200 consignees receive fuel from the Company’s enterprises every month. In 2025, SUEK-Krasnoyarsk supplied consumers with more than 37 million tons of coal, setting a production record.
