“This case is not the only one in Ukrainian show business. Many stars, our Ukrainian ones, are simply deceived into such things. Mostly they write through Instagram, start getting acquainted, something else, then some exchange of intimate photos, agreements to meet, and then at one fine moment they send a message in which they say: “But now all these photos will go to the press, or are you giving us money so that this does not happen,” said Feshak.
According to the presenter, over the past year several public people have become victims of blackmailers.
“I’ll tell you that over the last year, three people called me and asked that if we cannot contain this situation, then please do not voice it,” he emphasized. “These are the ones who called and asked. Imagine how much this happens and it does not rise.”
He did not name the names of these public people.
Context
On the night of January 19, many Ukrainian Telegram channels reported that they were sent an intimate video with the participation of Elena Topoli. It is not specified who exactly sent it. The authors of many public pages stated that they would not publish the video and expressed support for the artist.
Poplar herself said that On January 10, they began to blackmail her with intimate videos and demanded money. According to the artist, she contacted the police.
On the afternoon of January 19, law enforcement officers reported the detention of a 23-year-old Kiev resident, who is suspected of blackmailing the artist. The singer's ex-husband, Ukrainian artist Taras Topolya, said that he was also sent a video with her participation, after which he contacted the police.
“The video contains a detailed, naturalistic demonstration of genitals and sexual intercourse, which is aimed solely at arousing the viewer’s sexual desire, which gives grounds to qualify this content as containing signs of pornography,” Topol wrote in a statement.
Police said the suspect was acquainted with the singer, gained her trust and prepared compromising materials.
“He did not act alone, he filmed the video to order. It was these materials that the criminals used to get money. The woman was required to transfer funds in the amount of $75 thousand to a crypto wallet,” said Head of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of Police in the Kyiv Region Sergei Bolvinov.
The suspect's name and surname have not yet been disclosed.
Feshak admitted on January 24 that he was one of those who was sent the video. He stated that he “looked at a couple of frames.” The presenter noticed that in the video Topolya was captured with a new hair color, which she changed after breaking up with her husband. Feshak also added that the man who was captured with the artist in the video seemed familiar to him.
