Poles like premium laptops. Businesses buy computers three times faster than consumers

In 2026, the Polish computer hardware market will grow, but the challenge will be the availability of components, mainly memory chips – Paweł Miszkiewicz, Director of the Partner Channel at HP Inc Polska, told PAP Biznes. He pointed out that the product category that will grow in Poland is desktop computers, and audio-video solutions also have great potential.

“We initially assume that the Polish market will grow next year. It will be a single-digit growth, but there will still be growth. The only question mark – regarding this growth – is the availability of components, mainly memory chips (RAM modules). This is a hot topic now – firstly, we have a significant increase in prices, and secondly, there are some problems with availability,” Paweł Miszkiewicz, Director of the Partner Channel at HP Inc Polska, told PAP Biznes.
“Then it may be that in 2026, this increase will be limited because it will not be fully accessible“- he added.
He pointed out that HP is working to ensure this availability, but it is a big question mark.
The impact of KPO and public procurement
“Secondly, what we see in the coming months – when it comes to the Polish market – is the fact that there are KPO funds to be used. Here we see a lot of tenders, especially smaller ones. There are a lot of tenders, for example in the health service, in various types of hospitals. So the desktop category will definitely be the product category that will grow,” said Paweł Miszkiewicz.
“We also see that Polish client is becoming more and more affluent. Therefore, the portfolio of products sold on the Polish market is also changing slightly. We are selling less and less lower series models and more and more higher series models are being sold. For example, the EliteBook portfolio of the new series that we have introduced. These are mainly business models,” he added.
He said that in addition, the gaming segment is also developing. “There are new models and gamers constantly appearing here who want to have more and more efficient machines. So there are segments that will definitely grow,” he said.
HP Strategy: AI and Hybrid Work
“Regarding HP's goals for the next year – we want to be a company that provides employees with all work equipment, i.e. computers, printers, audio-video solutions, various types of services. This is our goal for the next quarter, for the next year. We want to be visible as a company that has such a portfolio,” he added.
He indicated that HP also wants to be visible when it comes to its AI solution.
Due to the fact that AI will be the dominant trend, the trend that will impact everyday work and everyday tasks, we want to be number one when it comes to choosing equipment for AI solutions – said Paweł Miszkiewicz.
“We also see that there is a lot of potential for audio-video solutions on the Polish market. There are many companies that do not have these solutions at the level they should, and hybrid work will be of great importance,” said Paweł Miszkiewicz.
As stated in HP's presentation, the business computer market is growing three times faster than the consumer computer market.
“We see a significant increase in the so-called business products. Our portfolio includes consumer products (…), but also a large section of commercial products dedicated to companies, the SME sector, large corporations and the public sector. Here we see that it is growing significantly, we see that companies are modifying their products and equipment,” he said.
In 2025, HP achieved revenues of USD 55.3 billion (an increase of 3% y/y). In turn, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the company achieved revenues of USD 14.6 billion, which means an increase of 4.2%. compared to the same period of the previous year.
