Graphic of Donald Trump with a penguin in Greenland. The White House made a mistake

The official White House social media channel during Donald Trump's second term is no longer what it used to be – much of the content that appears on it seems to be inconsistent with the seriousness of the institution it represents. We have become accustomed to memes and modifications using artificial intelligence, often provocative, glorifying Donald Trump or targeting his opponents.
What does the controversial graphic published by the White House show?
Why shouldn't penguins be in Greenland?
What are Donald Trump's plans for Greenland?
What do experts think about the White House's new entry?
This time, however, the White House made a mistake – it published an AI-generated graphic showing Donald Trump walking hand in hand with a penguin in the snow. The animal is holding a US flag in its hand, and in the distance, a Greenland flag is flying in a snowdrift.
The problem is that penguins don't live in Greenland. These animals mainly inhabit the southern hemisphere. They are most abundant in Antarctica and the surrounding islands.
The new entry from the White House surprised even experienced commentators. “I know it's hard to believe, but this is the official account of the White House. Not to mention the fact that there are no penguins in Greenland,” wrote Marek Wałkuski, correspondent of Polish Radio in the White House.
Donald Trump wants to take over Greenland
Greenland, an autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark, has become the subject of a fierce diplomatic dispute in recent weeks between the United States and Denmark and several supporting NATO countries.
In January, President Donald Trump returned to his long-held announcements of taking over the island, which is firmly opposed by the authorities in Copenhagen and Nuuk.
During Wednesday's speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the American leader demanded the immediate start of negotiations regarding the acquisition of Greenland by the US. He also assured that the United States would probably not use force to take the island.
Following a conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutt, Trump also announced on Wednesday that he had agreed on the framework for a future agreement on Greenland and the entire Arctic region. He added that he withdrew from the announcement of imposing tariffs on European countries that sent military delegations to Greenland. These countries are Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland and the United Kingdom.
