On this day, Alexey Alekseevich Untevsky, chairman of the Birobidzhan City Executive Committee, was born.

Alexey Alekseevich Untevsky comes from the Stavropol region, where he studied at a rural ten-year school. After graduating, he entered the Stavropol Agricultural Institute at the Faculty of Mechanization. In 1961, after graduating from the institute, he was sent to the Birobidzhan plant of motor transport trailers, to the design bureau. Over the 15 years of work as a design engineer at the Leading Design Organization for Agricultural Machines for the Far East at the Dalselkhozmash plant, A. A. Untevsky developed 18 copyright certificates for inventions, most of them were used in new units assembled in the workshops of the Dalselmash plant.
In March 1982, Alexey Untevsky was elected acting chairman of the Birobidzhan City Executive Committee, and in July of the same year he was confirmed in this position.
Over the ten years of the leadership of A. A. Untevsky, the appearance of Birobidzhan has noticeably changed for the better. In those years, new factories opened: hosiery, knitting, and shoe factories. Factories started operating: feed mill, car repair, brick and reinforced concrete products “Dalvodstroy”, expanded clay gravel workshop. The greenhouse state farm “Birobidzhansky” was opened. New construction trusts were created and housing was built en masse. New neighborhoods have appeared.
The city had its own art museum, the city's first university was formed – the Birobidzhan State Pedagogical Institute, a professional puppet theater “Kudesnik” and a folk Jewish music and drama theater “Kohelet” appeared.
In May 1992, a session of the city Council of People's Deputies adopted a statement by A.A. Untevsky on his voluntary resignation from the post of chairman of the executive committee of the city Council of People's Deputies.
For his contribution to the development of the city in 1999, Alexey Alekseevich Untevsky was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Birobidzhan.”
Alexey Alekseevich Untevsky passed away on May 20, 2011, and was buried in Birobidzhan.
Memory of A.A. Untevsky is immortalized with a memorial plaque at the address: Birobidzhan, st. 40 years of Victory, no. 9.

The bureau of the regional committee of the CPSU, the executive committee of the regional Council of Workers' Deputies and the regional trade union union summed up the results of the socialist competition of districts, collective farms, state farms, livestock farms, tractor-field crews, units, collective farmers and state farm workers for 1960 in the production and sale of agricultural products to the state. The winners were the Obluchensky district, the Nadezhdinsky state farm, and the team of the third department of the Volochaevsky state farm. They were awarded the Challenge Red Banners of the regional committee of the CPSU and the regional executive committee, and were included in the regional Board of Honor, in the Book of Labor Glory. A large group of leading agricultural workers were awarded the honorary title “Best in the Profession.”

By the decision of the Khabarovsk Regional Executive Committee, the settlements of the Obluchensky district of the Jewish Autonomous Region were renamed: the village of the second branch of the Izvestkovy state farm into the village of Rudnoye and the subsidiary farm of the Khinganolovo plant into the village of Solovyovka.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” published the results of the socialist competition between the cities of the region in industrial production and construction in the fourth quarter of 1975.
“Among the state and collective farms of the region is the collective farm “Zavety Ilyich” of the Birobidzhan region (chairman F. Sh. Glikshtein, party committee secretary V. P. Tsios, chairman of the trade union committee G. A. Khrupova, chief agronomist M. Tarasov).
The collective farm exceeded the production plan for soybeans, vegetables and potatoes. The plan for selling vegetables to the state was fulfilled by 122 percent, potatoes by 187 percent and soybeans by 180 percent.
The farm is fully provided with high-quality grain seeds; soybeans and potatoes for the 1976 harvest.
The plan for raising the plowed land on the collective farm has been completed by 109 percent. The collective farm “Testaments of Ilyich” was left with the challenge Red Banner of the regional committee of the CPSU, the regional executive committee and the regional trade union.”

The head of the administration of the Jewish Autonomous Region No. 31-RG was issued on the organization of the Regional Oncology Dispensary.
The order noted that in order to further develop and improve oncological care in the Jewish Autonomous Region, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of the RSFSR dated November 20, 1989 N 171 “On measures for the further development and improvement of oncological care for the population of the RSFSR” and in connection with the division of the scope of work with the regional oncological dispensary of the Khabarovsk Territory, the Health Department of the regional administration to 03/01/94 to organize a regional oncology clinic in Birobidzhan.
Control over the implementation of the order was entrusted to the deputy head of the administration M.M. Zhirdetskaya. The order was signed by the First Deputy Head of Administration I.S. Kubarev.
Today, the oncology clinic provides highly qualified treatment (surgical, medicinal and combined) of tumor patients and patients with pre-tumor diseases. New diagnostic and treatment methods are being introduced into the practice of the dispensary. The dispensary organizes and conducts medical examinations for cancer patients, organizes preventive medical examinations of the population, systematizes and analyzes statistical materials relating to the referral of patients with tumors to the dispensary. Organizes and conducts anti-cancer propaganda.

In accordance with the decision of the regional committee of the CPSU, a single political day was held in the region, dedicated to the upcoming elections to the Supreme Council of the RSFSR and local Councils of People's Deputies. Party, Soviet, trade union workers, deputies of local Soviets, lecturers from party committees, and the Knowledge Society gave reports and conversations on the topic: “The Triumph of True Democracy.”
The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) for January 25, 1985 published in the heading “Towards the Elections” a note dedicated to a single political day.
The note notes that “…It was crowded at the propaganda points located in the building of the administration building of the power transformer plant named after the 60th anniversary of the USSR, the dormitories of the feed mill and the Birobidzhanstroy trust, in the mechanical engineering college, where the first secretary of the Birobidzhan city committee of the CPSU B.L. Korsunsky, the chairman of the city executive committee A.A. Untevsky, the secretaries of the city committee spoke CPSU R.L. Sandik, G.I. Kulikova They answered questions, listened to the proposals of voters…”
