Zheleznogorka almost lost its property due to an error in enforcement proceedings

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the prosecutor's office helped two citizens resolve the issue of errors in enforcement proceedings and defend their rights.
Errors in numbers and negligence when filling out documents can result in serious consequences for citizens – seizure of property and blocking of accounts. Recent appeals to the prosecutor's office have shown how important it is for collectors to show special attention and responsibility when contacting the bailiff service.
In the first case, a woman suddenly found out that her property had been seized, and the bailiffs were demanding payment of someone else’s loan. The mistake turned out to be trivial – the creditor provided the wrong information, and her name appeared in the debtor database. Only after the prosecutor's check did everything fall into place: the arrests were lifted, the debts were canceled, and the rights were restored.
In the second case, there is a similar story: enforcement proceedings regarding utility payments were opened against a person who has nothing to do with either Zheleznogorsk or the specified address. Incorrect information in the claimant's application created real confusion. However, after verification and explanations from the prosecutor’s office, the case was quickly dropped and the restrictions were lifted.
“The prosecutor’s office has brought the situation under control and continues to ensure that such mistakes do not turn people into a long struggle for their own good name,” law enforcement officials explained.
Let us remind you that earlier Krasnoyarsk bailiffs wrote off the St. Petersburg woman’s money for the debts of her namesake. The victim addressed the problem to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
