A bruise was visible, again, on the back of US President Donald Trump's left hand, on Thursday, during the signing ceremony for the establishment of the Peace Council, which took place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told Fox News that Trump injured his hand after hitting the corner of the table during the signing event.

The White House initially commented to Fox News that the photos taken Wednesday did not, in fact, show any bruising.

According to The Telegraph, after less than an hour, it seems that the US president had covered his bruise with foundation, reports News.ro.

The bruise, however, sparked speculation on the Internet, as on other occasions, as images from the ceremony circulated on social networks.

A White House official said the president is more prone to bruising because he takes daily aspirin, a treatment previously disclosed by his doctors.

“They say aspirin is good for thinning the blood, and I don't want thick blood running through my heart,” Trump told the Wall Street Journal earlier this year. “I want to have good, thin blood running through my heart. Does that make sense?” – he said, admitting that he takes a higher dose of aspirin daily than is normally prescribed. “I'm a little superstitious,” he declared.

This is not the first time that President Trump has been spotted with bruises on his hand. He covered his hand at some public events with bandages or what appeared to be some kind of foundation.

The US commander-in-chief previously fueled concerns about his health after announcing he had an MRI in October.

On December 1, the White House released a memo from Sean Barbabella, the White House physician, saying that Trump had undergone advanced imaging at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a precaution. “The purpose of these imaging investigations is preventive: early identification of problems, confirmation of general health and ensuring the maintenance of long-term vitality and functionality,” said Barbabella.

“President Trump's cardiovascular imaging is perfectly normal. There is no evidence of arterial narrowing affecting blood flow or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels,” the doctor added. “The chambers of the heart are of normal size, the vessel walls appear smooth and healthy, and there are no signs of inflammation or coagulation. Overall, his cardiovascular system is in excellent health,” the doctor assured.

Last month, Donald Trump, 79, appeared with skin discoloration or light bruising on the back of his left hand, in addition to the more persistent bruising on his right hand that had been visible for months.
