Peace Council. Thursday is an important day

The founding document of the Peace Council, which is an initiative of President Trump, is to be signed in Davos on Thursday. Member states of this organization are to be elected by the American leader for three-year terms, unless they pay at least $1 billion for the privilege of permanent membership.

At first, the Peace Council was presented as a body overseeing the interim government in the Gaza Strip. Draft documents published in the press indicate that it is to be a new international organization dealing with, among others, resolving conflicts around the world. Trump is to be its president for life, with very broad powers, including the right to elect members and the board of directors and the right to veto.

A representative of the US administration said on Wednesday that over 30 heads of state have so far accepted the invitation.
