Donald Trump threatens France. Wine and champagne may be more expensive

Trump announced that he would impose a 200% tariffs on French wines and champagnes, which he claims would encourage French President Emmanuel Macron to join his Board of Peace initiative aimed at resolving global conflicts.
When asked by a reporter that Macron intended not to join the council, Trump replied: “He said that?” Well, no one wants him because very soon he will no longer be in office.
– I will charge 200 percent. duty on his wines and champagnes – and then he will join, but he does not have to join, he added.
According to a source close to Macron, France intends to reject the invitation to participate in the initiative at this stage.

Trump creates the Peace Council and invites Putin
Trump first proposed creating a Board of Peace in September when announcing his plan to end the war in Gaza. But an invitation sent last week to world leaders describes the council as a body with a broad mandate focused on ending conflicts around the world.
According to the draft statute sent to about 60 countries by the US administration, members must pay $1 billion in cash if they want their membership to last longer than three years, according to a document seen by Reuters.

Governments around the world reacted cautiously on Sunday to Trump's invitation – a plan that diplomats say could harm the activities of the United Nations.
On Monday, Trump also said he had invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to participate in the peace council.
