In winter, the skin on the elbows becomes rough, darkens, flaky spots appear, and it even becomes awkward in a knitted sweater. Scrubs give an effect for only a couple of hours, creams rub off on sleeves, and thick ointments stain clothes and leave greasy marks on furniture.
But in reality everything is much simpler. There is no need for expensive procedures or daily sanding. One simple action before bed is enough, and in the morning your elbows will become soft, smooth, without rough areas. This works even if you leaned on the table all day or forgot about grooming for a week.
You will need:
coconut oil or regular butter – 1 teaspoon
clean cotton cloth or an old T-shirt
How to do:
- Before going to bed, apply a thin layer of oil to dry elbows.
- Wrap each elbow with a small piece of cotton fabric. One layer is enough.
- Go to bed.
Overnight, body heat and light occlusion gently soften even the roughest areas, while the oil deeply nourishes the skin. In the morning, simply wipe off the excess with a tissue. There is no need to rub anything. Your elbows will be smooth, like after a spa, without shine or stickiness.
The effect lasts for two to three days, even if you lean on a table or wear knitted items. Do this two or three times a week, and by spring you can safely wear dresses with short sleeves without embarrassment.
