According to Pavel, the Czech Republic can “in a relatively short time” provide “several medium combat aircraft” that are “very effective in the fight against drones.”
The Czech President believes that “it will be possible to resolve this issue quickly and successfully.”
Pavel did not specify the details, but two years ago he stated that Czech-made L-159 subsonic fighters could be transferred to Ukraine.
The Czech President also said that Prague could supply Ukraine with early warning systems, such as passive radars.
As pointed out by Reuters, the Czech army has 24 L-159 aircraft in single and two-seat configurations, which are used for training and support of ground forces.
