The mother of one of Elon Musk's children is suing a company of the billionaire: Grok allegedly generated deepfake sexual images

Ashley St. Clair, far-right influencer and mother of one of Elon Musk's children, sued the billionaire's artificial intelligence company, xAI. She alleges that the Grok virtual assistant generated and publicly distributed “numberless” deepfake images with sexually explicit content that represent her in degrading poses.

In the complaint submitted to the court, St. Clair details the gravity of the actions. Among the images created by the AI is a photo of her from the age of 14, which has been altered. She also claims that she reported to xAI images of herself in a bikini with Nazi swastikas drawn on her body. Following these reports, her X platform account was restricted, depriving her of official verification, premium membership and the ability to monetize her content.

[După ce a solicitat companiei să înceteze] however, countless sexually abusive, intimate and degrading deepfakes of St. Clair were produced and publicly distributed by GrokThe case was transferred to a federal court, according to The Guardian.

Global reactions and late measures

The allegations come amid criticism of Elon Musk and xAI after Grok was widely used to generate sexual images of real people, including minors. The situation has sparked warnings and investigations from authorities in the European Union, Britain and California, and the use of the chatbot has already been banned in countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia.

In response to the pressure, xAI announced on Wednesday that it has restricted Grok's ability to generate images of sexual poses and claims to have removed material containing child sexual abuse and non-consensual nudity.

In a surprising twist, on Thursday, xAI in turn filed a lawsuit against Ashley St. Clair in Texas. The company accuses her of violating its terms of service by choosing to sue in a New York court instead of in the state of Texas, according to a contract clause.

Ashley St. Clair, 27, is the mother of a child born in 2024 to Elon Musk, 54, who has a total of at least 14 children with three different women. Musk is known for publicly supporting pro-natalist ideas.
