Traffic is carried out in winter conditions in several counties
On Friday, the Infotraffic Center reported that there are no national roads or highways with traffic stopped due to any accident or weather conditions.
In the counties of Alba, Cluj, Harghita, Mureş and Suceava, fog is reported that causes reduced visibility below 200 meters and isolated below 50 meters, which can favor the formation of ice or ice, according to a press release.
“In the city of Bucharest and in the counties of Brasov, Buzau, Dâmboviţa, Ialomiţa and Ilfov light snow is reportedroad traffic taking place in winter conditions. In these areas, equipment is used to ensure the flow of traffic“, said the quoted source.
On the main national roads, namely the A1 Bucharest – Constanța, A2 Bucharest – Constanţa, A3 Bucharest – Ploiesti and A7 Ploiesti – Adjud highways, as well as on DN1 Ploiesti – Braşov and DN 7 Pitesti – Sibiu, road traffic flows smoothly, under the conditions of a predominantly wet roadway, with good visibility and normal traffic values.
To reduce road risk, police officers recommend drivers to reduce their speed significantly in the context of these meteorological phenomena, to ensure good visibility through the windshield, rear window and side windows, to use defogging systems and fog lights, to increase the safety distance between vehicles, not to engage in risky overtaking and not to stop on the driving lanes or the emergency lane on the highways.
