Revolution in KRUS? Minister of Health on possible changes in contributions for farmers

There is talk of changes in health insurance premiums for privileged groups, also within KRUS – informed the Minister of Health, Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda, in an interview with RMF24.

The Minister of Health was asked whether changes to health insurance contributions are possible, also within KRUS.

“One of the proposals that appears in the statements and proposals of the groups also concerns KRUS. But I would not like to prejudge this, these are political decisions, they certainly have to be worked out. (…) In my opinion, there will be no changes to the health insurance premium (there will be no changes – PAP), but there is a lot of talk about privileged groups when it comes to the health insurance contribution, so we will see. However, there are also ideas about a new tax, so I think that everything is still ahead of us,” said Sobierańska-Grenda.

“There are proposals from various political sides regarding financing solutions. For me, the most important thing is the awareness (…) that the health insurance premium is not enough to support the National Health Fund in this area. And I think we need a discussion because this model must be developed,” she added.
