On Sunday evening, FC Barcelona won the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid (3-2), securing their 16th title in history.
After the final whistle of the Super Cup, at the awards ceremony, the atmosphere was as tense as on the field, pigmented with reprehensible reactions and insults. Introduced in the second half, but without making his mark on the final, Kylian Mbappe was among the first Real Madrid players to pass through the cordon of honor created by the Barcelona players.

Fermin Lopez seems to have reacted to Kylian Mbappe's gesture
The Frenchman collected his medal and appeared shortly afterwards to urge his team-mates to leave the pitch and go to the changing rooms. Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez was then heard shouting: “That's it! Lick my ass! Go home!”. It was not very clear to whom he was addressing the words, but it is believed that he was reacting to Mbappe's gesture.
Before him, his colleague Pau Cubarsi also came out “in the setting”. As Barcelona's players and staff celebrated winning the trophy on the pitch, the young centre-back was caught making obscene gestures towards a stand which was most likely Real Madrid supporters. The moment was filmed and quickly went viral on Marca publication's social networks.
Thibaut Courtois: “It's never nice to lose against this opponent”
In front of the journalists, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admitted: “A defeat in a final against this opponent is never pleasant.” And coach Xabi Alonso sought to play down the proportions of the failure.
“It's a mix of emotions. On the one hand, of course, there's the disappointment of losing a final. We have to look forward as quickly as possible. It was just one game, a competition… of all we have, the least important. We have to clear our minds and then we will move on,” said Xabi.
