IGSU recommendations for the population
In a message posted on Facebook, IGSU makes some recommendations, in the context of the extreme cold predicted for the night from Thursday to Friday:
- “It's a night when it's good to stay indoors longer. Thick, layered clothes, a hat and gloves become reliable allies for anyone who needs to leave the house.
- In homes, it's important to take care of your heating sources and make sure everything is working safely. Do not use makeshift stoves and do not fall asleep with the fire lit.
- Animals feel the cold as harshly as we do. Better shelter and a little extra care can protect them from frost.
- For drivers, the frost can bring slippery roads. It is recommended to go on the road only if necessary, drive at a low speed, keep your distance from other vehicles and make sure the car is properly equipped for the winter.”
