Jewels belonging to an American creator, valued at over one million euros, were stolen from a tourist space where he was staying on the French Riviera, several sources announced on Wednesday.

It is about Chris Aire, a designer whose creations have been worn by international stars such as top model Naomi Campbell and who collaborated with American basketball star LeBron James, according to AFP and Agerpres.
According to a source from the French police, he filed a complaint with the authorities on Tuesday, January 6, claiming the disappearance of jewelry from an accommodation unit in Villefranche-sur-Mer, a town located near Nice.
In addition to jewelry, the thieves allegedly stole approximately 6,000 euros in cash.
The public prosecutor's office in Nice has confirmed the opening of an investigation for qualified theft in an aggravated form. Prosecutor Damien Martinelli stated that it is about “deeds of breaking into a house without violence”.
An investigation was launched to identify the perpetrators of the burglary and determine how they entered the home. The investigation was entrusted to local police services specializing in crimes against high-value assets.
