Inter refocused in the mercato after main target for the right flank, Joao Cancelo, opted to return to Barcelona. The Nerazzurri now want Dodo and are offering Fiorentina on loan in exchange Stefan de Vrij or Kristjan Asllani.
Inter had reached an agreement with Al-Hilal to transfer Joao Cancelo, but the Portuguese preferred to sign with FC Barcelona, which will pay one million euros more than the Nerazzurri had proposed for part of his salary.
So, in order to cover the hole at the far right left by Denzel Dumfries' injury, the Serie A leader decided to launch on the Dodo track.

The 27-year-old Brazilian defender has a contract until 2027 with Fiorentina but has not been called up for extension talks, with new sporting director Fabio Paratici announcing there are no players who cannot be transferred.
Frattesi and De Vrij are important players, like everyone else, and the main ones responsible for what is happening. Probably, they played less than others, partly because of physical problems (Frattesi) and partly because of different choices (De Vrij). But we always know who Stefan is and the example he sets. They will have more opportunities to play

The alternatives to Dodo are Nahuel Molina and Mattia Zanotti
Cristi Chivu has given his approval for the move and the management of Inter intends to propose the transfer of Dodo in the form of a loan, and in exchange they offer one of Stefan de Vrij and Kristjan Asllani.
According to Tuttosport, De Vrij, destined for Al-Hilal for Cancelo, would always accept Fiorentina, potentially relaunching his career in the hope of making the Netherlands' World Cup squad.

While Asllani is looking for a new team after the difficulties in Turin. In Tuscany, there is a belief that Inter is making a move in this direction.”
The same Turinese daily writes that the alternatives to Dodò include Nahuel Molina, whose contract with Atlético Madrid expires in 2027 and has been on the bench for the last few games, and a return for Mattia Zanotti, which is doing well in Lugano, Switzerland.
He would be sold permanently in 2024 for 1.9 million euros, but Inter has a percentage of the resale price and the transfer of the Italian would be a low-cost operation.
