The 24-year-old attacker risks being removed from Farul Constanța after less than half a year. Once seen as a great hope of the Romanian national team's offensive, for which he made 3 appearances, all during the mandate of Mirel Rădoi, Jovan Markovic continues his steep fall. After an unsuccessful loan at Oțelul Galati, the 24-year-old forward started the season at Craiova University, but was quickly sent to Farul Constanța.
A definitive transfer, without financial claims, but with the hope that he will return to the form of a few years ago. Classified as a difficult player, he doesn't seem to have adapted to Litoral either, getting quite a few minutes on the field. Thus, he played only in 10 matches in the current edition of the Super League for the team coached by Ianis Zicu, scoring only one goal, to which were added three other games in the Romanian Cup, also with only one success in the opposite goal.

Not so much his performances, but his attitude seems to have hung heavy, and the white-blues are determined to give up his services as early as this mercato if the situation does not change. He was present at Monday's meeting and will continue to train with the team, but the Lighthouse coach is waiting to see something else in terms of training to keep him in his future plans:
“At Markovic, everyone knows, we try to make him more involved. I, at least, wanted to. He, maybe, so and so. If he has a different approach to training and his desire to be on the field, we'll see him play more“, warned Ianis Zicu. Otherwise, Farul will try to find another destination for him, even if Markovic still has two and a half years left on his contract.
Iancu, out of plans
On the other hand, another striker, Gabi Iancu, has minimal chances to play for the Constantinians this season, even if he is still training under the command of Ianis Zicu: “Gabi Iancu still has a contract until the end of the season. He is a player who, if he wants to go somewhere else to play, he is free to do so. For now, he is here, he is training with us, we respect him, there are no problems from this point of view,” the white-blue coach clearly explained about the 31-year-old player.
Larie, up to 40 years
The captain of the Lighthouse, Ionuț Larie, who will turn 39 on January 16, confessed that he would like to play one more season in the white-blue shirt: “The lady at the medical visit asked me if there was an age limit and I said no, I play as long as I can. Hopefully it won't be my last winter training, but we'll see. If I'm healthy and I can still meet the demands of the staff, I'd like to continue,” said the veteran from Constanta, whose contract expires at the end of the current edition of the Super League.
In the current season, Ionuț Larie played in all 21 stages, missing only the last four minutes of the match with AFK Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc to be a full-time player. The only one from the Farului squad who ticked off all the minutes was the goalkeeper Alexandru Buzbuchi, a full-time player last season in the goal of the white-blue team.
