

“During the criminal attack carried out by the US government against the brotherly Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the early morning hours of January 3, 32 Cubans were killed in action,” the statement said.
The Cuban President noted that his compatriots died in Venezuela while carrying out missions “at the request of their colleagues.”
Díaz-Canel said that the Cubans in Venezuela “fell after fierce resistance in direct combat against attackers or as a result of the bombing of targets, and with their heroic actions they supported the solidarity of millions of compatriots.”
In connection with the death of Cubans in Venezuela, the President of Cuba declared almost two days of national mourning.
