If you're tired of dry breast meat, bland casserole, and “protein” blues, try this chicken. It is tender on the inside, with a golden crust on the outside, and the sauce is so tasty that you want to eat it with a spoon. Prepared from regular chicken breast or thighs, sour cream and garlic.
You will need:
Chicken fillet – 500 g
Sour cream – 200 g
Garlic – 3-4 cloves
Flour – 2 tbsp. l. (for breading)
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.
Salt, black pepper – to taste
Dried thyme or oregano – ½ tsp.
Fresh herbs – for serving
How to cook:
- Cut the chicken into medial pieces. Salt and pepper.
- Roll the pieces in flour. This will give a light crust and thicken the sauce.
- Heat a frying pan with oil over medium heat.
- Fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove chicken to a plate.
- In the same pan, without washing away the “aromas,” add the minced garlic and fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in sour cream, add herbs, salt. Bring to a light boil.
- Return the chicken to the sauce, cover and simmer for 7-10 minutes over low heat.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve with your favorite side dish.
May your January be warm, even if there is a snowstorm outside.
Bon appetit!
