The increase in tariffs of Ukrzaliznytsia means the shutdown of another metallurgical plant.
Metinvest claims that in the current conditions, any increase in transportation tariffs will have a critical impact on the mining and metallurgical complex. Due to the growth of logistics costs, companies can stop one after the other.
“You raise tariffs – this is the stoppage of the work of another GZK. You raised the tariff – we can no longer supply one of the world's markets due to the cost of logistics. Production will have to be reduced. Everything is simple,” said Oleksandr Vodoviz, head of Metinvest's general director's office.
