Artyom Buimov’s project is aimed at creating an LED display that can be used to decorate building facades, shop windows and advertising structures. The main feature of the technology is the combination of high brightness and transparency up to 80%.

“Such a screen will be clearly visible even in bright sunshine, but will not completely block the view,” explained the developer. “This opens up new opportunities for trade and architecture.”

Scientists have already created a research model and applied for a patent. Now they are working on the design and selecting the optimal materials. A fully functional prototype, weather-resistant and compatible with augmented reality technologies, is expected to be unveiled in 2026.

Such displays are not yet produced in Russia; they are imported mainly from China, which makes them expensive. The development of Tomsk scientists can be used not only in advertising, but also in the design of airports, exhibition spaces, showrooms and city navigation.
