After this, Sergei Vereshchagin was presented with a certificate and attributes of power – a heraldic pendant made of gold and precious stones, a sign of the head of the city and a symbolic key to Krasnoyarsk.

Let us remind you that the City Council decided to elect Sergei Vereshchagin as head of Krasnoyarsk on December 23. Deputies chose between two candidates: Head of Government and Head of the Sverdlovsk District of Krasnoyarsk Liliya Nazmutdinova. As a result, 33 deputies cast their votes for Vereshchagin, and for Only one person voted for Nazmutdinov.

Taking into account the peculiarities of regional legislation, the new mayor was elected not for five years, but for the term of office of the current convocation of the city Council of Deputies – that is, until 2028.
