George Ganea has officially parted ways with Ujpest
The Romanian striker made public the message of the separation through a post on social networks:
The day came when I had to make a difficult decision and leave the Ujpest FC club.
I want to thank the management for understanding my decision to leave. Also, special thanks to my teammates, the medical staff, Joszi and all the people around the club for these last two and a half years of being with me in the good times and the bad.
I wish you all the best. Force Viola!

Figures of Ganea at Ujpest
For the club from Budapest, George Ganea ticked off 37 matches, managing 4 decisive assists, without scoring a single goal. The striker was also part of the Romanian national team at the 2021 Olympic Games, where he played in all three games.
Throughout his career, the Romanian striker has played for U Cluj, Rapid, Virtus Entella, AS Roma, CFR Cluj, Viitorul/Farul, FC ArgeÈ™ and FCU Craiova.
Ionel Ganea, the footballer's father, comes up with another version: “He left because he is Romanian”
Former striker Ionel Ganea spoke about his son's departure from Hungary. He accuses the Ujpest club of not using him because of his nationality, not to mention the performance offered.
“Thank God that George is healthy, but there are also some problems, the management has changed, they don't have a stable coach and I don't really love him anymore because he is Romanian.
That's what I understood from the people I still have around Hungary, it's hard to get him to play because he's Romanian. He has half a year left on his contract, but we hope to reach an agreement and let him go. Why keep it? They have a philosophy that I have rarely met”, said Ionel Ganea, for prosport.ro.
