Murder of Russian general in Moscow shows Trump that Putin is not completely in control – media

Sarvarov, who died after the detonation of explosives in a car about 16 km from the Kremlin, became the latest Russian military leader killed since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, the channel emphasized.

His murder came at an important time – immediately after negotiations on a “peace plan” for resolving the Russian-Ukrainian war between the US and Russian delegations in Miami over the weekend, Sky News noted.

As the media pointed out, Ukraine has previously used such attacks to humiliate Moscow and “bring the war closer to home for Russians.” This time, this could be Kyiv’s way of undermining the Russian narrative during negotiations with the United States, Sky News reported.

Thus, the Kremlin is trying to convince the White House that Russia’s victory is inevitable and that supporting Ukraine is useless, while Kyiv is trying to convince the administration of US President Donald Trump of the opposite. And the elimination of Russian generals in the Russian Federation is one of the ways to do this, the TV channel noted.

This shows Trump that the Kremlin is clearly not in complete control of the situation, Sky News concluded.
