Investments in security: the FRU called for the financing of UZ passenger transportation to be included in the 2026 budget
The Federation of Employers reminded that the railway is critically important for the front and the population, but without systemic support from the state, its work is at risk. Now revenues of the passenger segment cover only 40% of costs, in the suburbs – <10%a in 2024 most of the profits of freight transportation (UAH 20 billion), which could be used for the development of the company, went to compensation for losses.
FRU offers to sign with long-term government memorandum of supportto avoid the risk of service interruption for defenses and citizens.
