Social security issues lead in the number of requests from citizens in preparation for the annual direct line with the president. Kremlin official Dmitry Peskov stated this in an interview with Izvestia on December 18.

“Social security issues come first and issues related to any problems that our SVO heroes and members of their families may experience,” he said.

Peskov noted that the set of topics remains predictable, but their relevance is changing. According to him, if last year health issues were in first place, this year this topic is not even in the top five most frequently discussed.

In addition, the Kremlin official explained that the reduction in the severity of the problems of the SVO participants and their families is the result of hard work to solve them systematically.

The day before, the Rossiya 24 TV channel reported that Putin before the New Year fulfilled wishes two children who wrote appeals to the direct line. One of the children who received gifts was 11-year-old judoka Vladimir, who received a blue kimono as a gift. The second was the Young Army member Yegor, who dreamed of flying on an airplane.

It was reported that the number of calls to the direct line with Putin exceeded 1.2 million. It was noted that most questions are asked about social policy, infrastructure and housing. In addition, this year people are also often asked about neural networks.
