Filipe Coelho, the coach of Craiova University, reacted after Olten lost qualification in the Conference League play-off at the last stage of the game with AEK, score 3-2.

The Portuguese coach was calm in the flash-interview after the game. He accused the fact that the match was prolonged longer than it should have been, and then said that he was satisfied with the performance of his players in the match in Athens.

Filipe Coelho reacted after AEK – Universitatea Craiova 3-2: “I think it is incorrect”

“I can't explain it. I'd rather focus on what we managed to do on the pitch. We showed character. I don't think the players on the pitch deserved this defeat.

There were eight minutes of overtime, then five more. I think that is incorrect. I don't think I'm the one to analyze this.

Everyone saw what happened. It is not an easy time for us. It's an undeserved result, but we have to see ourselves, our way.

I am satisfied with the evolution of the players. I think we surprised the opponent, an opponent who is very strong. I showed personality. It is not easy to play in this stadium. I don't think it was passion. We showed personality, we created chances, we fought. Finally something happened.

It's part of my job to look after the morale of the players. Such things must make us even stronger.

The last three games have been good. We played against some good teams, and so did we today. We have to accept this situation. We are angry. We have to focus on the championship, that's what matters now”, said Filipe Coelho during his interview with Digi Sport.

The elimination of Craiova University was decided at the very last phase of the game. Luka Jovic perfectly executed the penalty that left Craiova University out of the Conference League play-off places.
