This coming Sunday, December 21, residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will celebrate a new holiday for the first time – Large Family Day. Governor Mikhail Kotyukov made such an initiative at the demographic forum.

On this day, various events will be held in the municipalities of the region in which all family members can participate. The program includes thematic film screenings, concerts, master classes, performances, competitions, etc.
For example, in Krasnoyarsk, employees of the State Universal Scientific Library prepared a “Wonder Fair”, in which families, together with Santa Claus, will sing New Year’s songs, and poetry readings will also take place. A flash mob of large families will take place in the Zheleznogorsk Culture and Leisure Park, and in the Yenisei Museum-Reserve named after A.I. Kytmanova will be given a tour “The World of Family Hobbies”.
“The Krasnoyarsk Territory is proud to be the leader of the Siberian Federal District in terms of the number of large families living in it – we have more than 50 thousand of them. Large Family Day is one of the events of the national project “Family”. This holiday is intended not only to celebrate those who have made their choice in favor of creating a large and friendly family, but also to emphasize the special role of large families in society, in strengthening family values, and their contribution to the future of the region,” noted the region’s Minister of Social Policy Irina Pastukhova.
