They stole the land and demolished the military man's parents' house. The Vinnitsa prosecutor's office is investigating possible fraud

According to the investigation, two citizens forged a land purchase and sale agreement, dating it to 2007, and in 2024 used it to illegally register property rights.

“The state registrar of one of the village councils of the Vinnytsia region, despite the presence of obvious violations, carried out state registration of property rights on the basis of a forged agreement. It was these actions that made it possible to implement the illegal scheme and entailed grave consequences,” the UCP revealed the details of the case.

As reported by the Vinnitsa Regional Prosecutor's Office, while the serviceman was performing combat missions at the front, unknown persons “demolished his parents' house and stole the land” that belonged to his mother. Law enforcement officers learned about the situation after publications in regional media in August 2025.

The online publication PressPoint published a story on YouTube about the wounded warrior Mikhail Savchuk, who was left without a home.

The video says that after being seriously wounded, the volunteer returned home to the village of Pirogovo (Vinnitsa region), but discovered that his unfinished house had been demolished, furniture, equipment, family photographs were taken and taken to an unknown location. During treatment, Mikhail learned that his land plot had been resold several times using forged documents, which he told reporters about.

On August 21, 2025, the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office opened criminal proceedings, which began on the basis of forgery of documents, and later were additionally classified under articles of fraud and misappropriation of property.

“During the pre-trial investigation, prosecutors and investigators collected evidence, analyzed data from state registers, conducted searches and forensic examinations, and identified the circle of persons involved in illegal actions,” the UCP press service reported.

Law enforcement officers also informed that, by a court decision, the disputed land plot was seized. An investigation is currently underway.
