Unintelligible decision at Unirea Alba Iulia! The team that is the leader in Series 7 of League 3 dismissed Alexandru Pelici, the coach of the team. Physical trainer Bogdan Ungureanu also left with the “principal”.
Alexandru Pelici was the coach of Unirea Alba Iulia since October 2023. He had been reconfirmed on the technical bench through an official statement at the beginning of November, after it was rumored that he would leave Unirea Alba Iulia. Along with Pelici, physical trainer Bogdan Ungureanu also left the team.

Alexandru Pelici started his coaching career at Unirea Alba Iulia. He also trained FCM Reșita, Forex Brașov, Ariesăul Turda, Voința Sibiu, FCM Târgu Mureș, Râmnicul Vâlcea, FC Brașov, Bihor Oradea, CS Mioveni, Hermannstadt, Ripensia and FC Argeș. He was also the Romanian U21 coach between September 1, 2022 and April 26, 2023.
At this moment Unirea Alba Iulia is the leader of Serie 7 in League 3 and aims to be promoted to the second tier. Those from Alba Iulia have 43 points, while Politehnica Timișoara, the team in 2nd place, has 41 points. Metalurgistul Cugir and Viitorul Arad, places 3 and 4 have 32 and 31 points, respectively.
