A leader of the Coalition indicates what is written “strictly” in the PSD, PNL, USR and UDMR protocol, after the PSD-AUR alliance against the USR Minister of the Environment. The first coalition meeting after the move of Grindeanu's party / What signals do the parties give?

Several PNL and UDMR leaders criticized the move made by the PSD on Monday, that the party's parliamentarians voted alongside the AUR for the passage of the motion against the USR Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu. The signals against the party led by Sorin Grindeanu, even if accompanied by statements against a break in the governing alliance, come before the coalition meeting that will take place on Wednesday.
The simple motion submitted by AUR against the Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, also passed on Monday with PSD votes. There were 73 votes “for” and 43 “against”. Passing a simple motion does not automatically lead to the dismissal of a minister, and Buzoianu said he will not resign.
The leaders of the coalition will meet, on Wednesday, from 14.00, for the first time in the last three weeks, for a meeting.
PNL leader: “There is a need for a serious discussion in the coalition”
“It is clear that the protocol was violated,” declared the liberal Adrian Cozma, vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies. Asked about the position of the PNL in the whole situation created around the simple motion, Adrian Cozma, vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies, said that the issue will also be discussed in the party.
“It is very clearly stipulated that we do not vote for the dismissal of the Government and the ministers”, emphasized the liberal leader.
He also said that the issue will be discussed in the party, but that a serious discussion is also needed in the coalition. As for a possible breakup of the coalition, he claims that although “I was firmly against the alliance with the PSD and I don't think it's healthy for us, but at the moment, the math shows us that this coalition is the only solution.”
Finally, Cozma also said that it was “unpleasant” what happened to the simple motion against Diana Buzoianu and that the PSD gave “an interesting signal”.

Kelemen Hunor: “If we strictly read the coalition protocol, it is written there”
The president of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, said on Monday that “it is serious in any situation when things happen in a coalition that should not happen”.
And on Tuesday, the UDMR leader met PSD president Sorin Grindeanu at Parliament, and said afterwards that PSD was wrong when it decided to vote “for” the simple motion submitted by AUR against Minister Buzoianu.
The two talked for about an hour about the reform of the local and central administration, one of the reforms that the coalition remained outstanding after more than half a year in which the subject was debated in the coalition meetings.
Tomorrow at the meeting, according to HotNews information, it is expected that the leaders of the coalition will complete the discussions on the reform of the administration, so that it can be adopted. Because, otherwise, the budget for next year will have to be made taking into account the old laws. The deadline set by the leaders for the adoption of the budget would be the end of January, therefore, by then the reform that provides for job cuts and reductions in expenses in the administration must be completed.
“If we strictly read the coalition protocol, it says there: members of the coalition will not sign and vote for simple and censure motions. From this point of view, what happened yesterday, from my point of view, was a mistake. But I can't tell you more because everyone makes their own strategy,” said Kelemen Hunor.
“No parliamentarian, member of the parties and political formations that are part of the Coalition will sign, support or vote a simple motion directed against any member of the Government or a motion of censure against the Government,” states article 19 of the coalition's protocol, the one Kelemen Hunor refers to.
He also said that in tomorrow's coalition meeting they will address this topic: “From my point of view, this is how we have behaved every time, if we have grievances, because they appear, you discuss in the coalition, you try to find a solution. If you stay in the coalition, you don't vote a motion, that's my approach.”
According to some sources, the social democrats are waiting to see how the prime minister will position himself tomorrow, because they do not exclude the option of Bolojan breaking the coalition.
The UDMR leader explained that there are no sanctions in the coalition protocol, but that the issues must be discussed permanently.
Asked if the fact that the PSD voted alongside the opposition could lead to the breakup of the coalition, Kelemen Hunor replied: “No. The coalition is moving forward. There is no risk of a breakup. You don't have to worry.”
After saying that PSD violated the protocol of the coalition, Kelemen Hunor now takes another step
Dominic Fritz: PSD coordinated with AUR
USR President Dominic Fritz stated on Monday, in an intervention on Digi24, that the simple motion initiated in the Senate against the Minister of the Environment Diana Buzoianu is the result of a coordination between AUR, the party that initiated the motion, and PSD, despite the fact that the social democrats are part of the ruling coalition.
“There is a coordination between PSD and AUR, which disqualifies those from PSD, but also those from AUR who claim to be anti-system,” said the USR leader.
In addition, Fritz believes that the motion is a way to try to divert the attention of public opinion from a topic of wide interest.
“It is also an attempt to distract attention from the most important issue these days, that of justice,” said Dominic Fritz stating that his party demands that the Minister of Justice begin the procedure to revoke the head of the DNA.
Before the vote, when the information had already appeared that the PSD MPs would vote alongside the USR, the leader of the USR senators, Ştefan Pălărie, said that this gesture shows “contempt” towards the governing coalition.
“The PSD colleagues, led by Mr. Daniel Zamfir, are preparing to vote with the opposition, thus showing contempt, in my opinion, for the governing coalition protocol, where several parties gathered, we nominated some ministers and, obviously, we promised not to interfere in the activities of the others”, said Ștefan Pălărie in a press conference.
