Ukraine under Russian fire. Massive attack and power outages


The Russian military used a variety of means in the attack, including strike drones, air, sea and land-based missiles. Ukraine's radio engineering troops detected 704 attack means, including 51 missiles, including 17 ballistic ones, and 653 drones of various types. The target of the attack was Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

Downed drones
The Ukrainian armed forces, including aviation, anti-aircraft systems, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups, successfully repelled the attack. According to preliminary data, by 10:00 a.m. (9:00 a.m. Polish time), Ukrainian defense shot down most of the air assets, including Shahed and Geran-class drones, as well as Kh-101, Iskander-K and Kalibr cruise missiles.. One Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile was also neutralized.
Despite effective defense, there were some losses. Russian missiles and drones hit 29 locations, and fragments of downed objects fell in three places. At least three people were injured in the Kiev region, the regional military administration said on Telegram.
Power outages
The attack had serious consequences for Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The Ministry of Energy in Kiev announced that as a result of the actions of the Russian army, there were power outages in the Odessa, Chernihiv, Kiev, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv oblasts.
