EXCLUSIVE. Bucharest elections. The surprising results of the AtlasIntel survey come against the background of the dissatisfaction of 50% of Bucharest residents with President Dan and Prime Minister Bolojan

The results of Friday's AtlasIntel survey, with Anca Alexandrescu leading by 0.1% in front of Daniel Băluță, come against the background, also shown by the survey data, of the perception that 52% of Bucharest residents have a “bad or very bad” opinion about the activity of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and 49% a “bad or very bad” opinion about the activity of President Nicușor Dan.
On Friday, HotNews received from AtlasIntel the third opinion poll for the elections in the Capital. The results are as follows:

They come amid other polling data showing low favorability for Prime Minister Bolojan and President Dan.

Thus, 32% have a “good and very good” and “bad and very bad” opinion of Ilie Bolojan's political activity.
About Nicușor Dan's political activity, 21% have a “good and very good” opinion and 49% have a “bad and very bad” opinion.
Traffic – the big problem of the city
Traffic is by far the biggest problem blamed by the citizens of Bucharest, according to the data of the survey conducted by AtlasIntel. 60% of those surveyed support this.
Air pollution and environmental problems follow at a long distance – 32.9%, the high cost of living – 31.8, poor infrastructure – 30.1%, corruption and lack of transparency in local administration – 26.6%, the centralized local heating system and inefficient public transport – 20.6%. Then, among the grievances of Bucharest residents are the lack of investment in the public health system, waste management, problems related to housing and, finally, public safety.
Survey elements
- The opinion poll was conducted by AtlasIntel for HotNews between December 1-5, 2025, on a sample of 2,188 people.
- The AtlasIntel poll was conducted using digital random sampling and has a margin of error of 2 percentage points at 95% confidence level.
- The AtlasIntel polls were close to the result in the local elections of 2024. In the presidential elections of November 2024, however, the same polling house placed Călin Georgescu only 5th, far from the result of the vote, but gave Elena Lasconi as the finalist, which happened.
The elections take place on Sunday
The elections for the Capital City Hall take place on Sunday, December 7, after the position of general mayor became vacant following the resignation of Nicușor Dan from the position. Dan was elected president of Romania in May, after defeating George Simion in the final.
