Jean Vlădoiu, 57 years old, the acting head coach at Unirea Slobozia, commented failure with Oțelul Galati, 0-3eighth straight loss this season.
Prepared by the couple Andrei Prepelita – Jean Vlădoiu, Unirea Slobozia started the season formidable, with 18 points accumulated in the first 11 stages. For the people of Ialomi, a black series followed, 8 defeats in a row, including the one tonight, 0-3 in Galați.
Jean Vlădoiu let it be understood that during the winter break, after the last two matches of this year, the team will go through radical changes.
Jean Vlădoiu, after the eighth defeat in a row at Unirea Slobozia: “I'm ashamed to go out again!”
“There is not much to say. It is clear that we are disappointed. We kept trying, we gave chances to all the players. Unfortunately, some of them really let us down.
You probably feel pity when you see such disbelief. They have completely lost it. I told them that we have two more matches, with FCSB, with whom we won in the round, and with Metaloglobus, a match that you can win.
As I said 3-4 stages ago, we still have a chance to get points by December 20th. Then we'll draw the line and see who we can count onwho wants to stay and give everything. I am firmly convinced that those who will remain will fulfill the objective set by the management.
We have proven that it can be done. When we reached the play-off places, with 18 points, we probably believed ourselves with bags in the cart. I have warned each time that I have not achieved anything. We have two teams below us, we have two more games to play and I think players with character should focus on these games. After the winter break, Unirea Slobozia will surely be one of the good teams of this championship.
I'm ashamed of the fans, I'm ashamed to go out again. It's clear that I let them down. They saw that we had potential, that it was possible, but something happened. We had very good games, we saw the same players giving everything for the team, being a united group, then we lost the confidence we had at the beginning of the season.
We never imagined that we would end up in this situation. It's a stressful time for every player, and for us as coaches. The disappointment is very great. I am most ashamed of the people of Slobozia, those who supported us, but I think we can fix the situation.
We tried, we are still trying to support them, to encourage them to overcome this tragedy. We no longer have confidence, we no longer create opportunities to score. This mental block is our problem. Everything starts from here, because we are running”, Vlădoiu commented to PrimaSport.
If Csikszereda wins at this stage, Slobozia would finish the round in 14th place.
