Zakharova accuses Romanians and Moldovans of new involvement in drone attacks in Ukraine: “The people involved will be held accountable”

Russia, represented by the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zaharova, launched new accusations against Romanian and Moldovan citizens fighting in Ukraine. The statements, made during a briefing held on Thursday in Saint Petersburg, were also published in Romanian on the Facebook page of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest.

Zaharova states that, on November 30, “the so-called Getica battle group”, consisting of volunteers from Romania and the Republic of Moldova supporting the Ukrainian army, allegedly shared video images of drone attacks on Russian troops.
According to her, the post would have appeared “on a social network recognized as extremist and banned in Russia”, and the footage would capture strikes on Russian military in the area where Moscow is deploying “special military operation”.
“The publication is cynically titled “Despâducherea”. In the upper right corner of the material you can see the emblem of the 414th Brigade separated by unmanned systems of the “Madjar Birds” attack air complexes of the unmanned systems troops of Ukraine. It is not excluded that the authors of some sequences are even Romanians”. said Maria Zakharova at the briefing in Saint Petersburg.
She also referred to the group commander's previous statements “Getica”, known under the call sign “Ghetto Tac”, who would have stated in several interviews that some of the Romanian volunteers serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as operators of attack drones.
“The commander of the “Getica” group, with the code “Getotac”, repeatedly stated in interviews for the media and on his own website that some of the mercenaries serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as operators of attack drones”. Zakharova said.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also claimed that the authorities in Russia are actively monitoring the alleged war crimes committed by the Ukrainian army and foreign volunteers.
“Our law enforcement authorities are pursuing war crimes committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries in the area of the special military operation. There is no doubt that the people involved in these crimes will sooner or later be brought to justice for their actions,” she said.
