Dinamo Bucharest beat Oțelul Galați 1-0 on Saturday evening, at the National Arena, and climbed to the 2nd position in the SuperLiga, at least for the moment.
The only goal of the match was scored by Cătălin Cîrjan, in the 37th minute, when Dinamo's captain perfectly headed in a cross sent by Ikoko.
Adrian Mazilu, the footballer brought from Brighton this summer, who had not played in a match since April 7, 2024, when he ticked off a few minutes for Vitesse in a duel with Nijmegen in the Netherlands championship, also made his debut for the “red and whites”.
With this victory, Dinamo reached 34 points in 18 rounds and is in the 2nd position in the SuperLiga, but until the end of the stage it can still be overtaken by Botoșani (33 points) and Universitatea Craiova (32 points).
Botoșani will play on Sunday against Unirii Slobozia, away, from 17:30, while Craiova will meet U Cluj, in Transylvania, on Monday, from 19:00.
The leader of the championship is Rapid, with 38 points. Gâlcă's team won their match in this stage, 4-1 against Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc, on Friday evening, in Giulesti.
On Saturday, only one SuperLiga match was played, FC Argeș vs CFR Cluj, ending with the decisive victory of the Pitesti team, score 3-0.
