Since the beginning of the year, over 11 thousand working mothers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory have received maternity benefits

On the last Sunday of November, Mother's Day is celebrated in Russia. The branch of the Social Fund of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory supports mothers and families with children, providing them with various benefits and payments. Significant support is maternity benefits for working mothers.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Branch of the Social Fund of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory has paid more than 11 thousand maternity benefits to working women in the region. They transferred over 2.9 billion rubles.

Mothers who were in an employment relationship, who went on maternity leave, as well as those who adopted a child under the age of three months have the right to receive this support measure.

The main condition for granting benefits is official employment and participation in the compulsory social insurance system. It is important that in 2025, individual entrepreneurs who paid insurance premiums on time in 2024 can also count on payment of maternity benefits.

Maternity benefits are paid to the insured woman in the amount of 100% of average earnings in total for the entire period of maternity leave lasting 70 (in the case of multiple pregnancies – 84) calendar days before childbirth and 70 (in the case of the birth of two or more children – 110 in the case of complicated births – 86) calendar days after childbirth.

“The amount of maternity benefits depends on the woman’s earnings, the complexity of the birth and some other factors. The minimum benefit amount for working mothers for 140 calendar days in 2025 is 103,285 rubles, the maximum is 794,355.80 rubles. The amount is paid one-time for the entire vacation period,” explained Marina Dolmatova, deputy manager of the SFR Branch for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The fund department assigns and pays benefits based on data from medical institutions and information provided by the employer. There is no need to submit an application to the Branch's customer services.

Pregnant students studying full-time in secondary specialized and higher educational institutions also have the right to receive benefits, which from September 1, 2025 are calculated on the basis of the regional subsistence level in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The benefit is paid by the Social Fund Department for the entire period of maternity leave.
