Budimex received an occupancy permit and put the Warszawa Zachodnia station, including the main hall and level -1, into operation. The value of the entire investment carried out for PKP PLK was PLN 2.7 billion.

The construction covered an area of over 70 hectares, stretching for 5 km, where 14 railway lines intersect.
The investment was co-financed by EU funds under the Connecting Europe Program (CEF).

The Warszawa Zachodnia station serves up to 60,000 passengers and almost 1,400 trains every day. The total length of the new track system is over 35 kilometers.
“The construction of the Warszawa Zachodnia station is an example of how a Polish contractor can implement investments of key importance for the country's development. It is one of the most important infrastructure investments in recent years,” said Artur Popko, president of Budimex.
