Doctors revealed how many eggs eaten on Easter would not harm health. The council was shared by the deputy chief physician of the CDC for clinical and expert work of the NMIC of therapy and preventive medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health Elena Ignatikova.

The expert said that eggs are traditionally considered a useful product – they contain useful fats and trace elements, high -quality protein and vitamins. So, the composition of the chicken egg includes choline, selenium, polyunsaturated fatty acids, as well as vitamins A, D, E, group B.

However, even such a product can harm in some cases.

“People with an increased cholesterol level or diseases of the cardiovascular system should be careful and not use more than 300 mg of cholesterol per day (which is equivalent to about one large chicken egg),” said Elena Ignatikova.

The optimal amount is one or two eggs for breakfast or as part of Easter cakes. To maintain the optimal level of cholesterol and preserve heart health, it is better to add fiber from fruits, vegetables and whole grains to the diet

It is also important to limit the consumption of foods with a high content of saturated fats, for example, cheese, butter, meat and most of the processed products.
