The Karatuzsky District Court of the Krasnoyarsk Territory considered a case for compensation for moral damage to a child who was bitten by a dog in the summer.

According to the court, on July 13, in one of the villages of the district, a dog attacked a minor and bit him on the leg. The child received a moderate injury and experienced severe pain and stress. The prosecutor's office demanded that the owner of the animal pay 100 thousand rubles.

During the court hearing, the boy said that he did not provoke the dog: it attacked and bit him, after which he fell and the animal jumped on his back. The dog was chased away by a passerby who unwittingly witnessed the incident.

“The child is sure that the dog that attacked him belongs to the defendant, he is sure, since there is only one dog of this color and size in the village. In addition, he repeatedly saw that this dog climbed out of the fence of the house through a hole,” the joint press service of the regional courts reported.

The owner of the dog did not admit the claim. He stated that his dog is calm, does not bite anyone, and the fence of the house is intact. He also suggested that the child’s family may be slandering him because of a previous conflict.

The court examined the evidence and decided to recover 50 thousand rubles from the dog owner in favor of the injured boy.
