Boris Johnson sharply criticizes Donald Trump's plan for Ukraine. “Military Castration”

Johnson describes how he thinks Vladimir Putin could follow world news with satisfaction, seeing “the incompetence and weakness of the West.” Russia, despite military losses and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians, controls just over 20 percent. Ukrainian territory and is struggling with the economic crisis. Despite this, it is the West today that is presenting a plan that, as Johnson mocks, is “entirely written by the Kremlin”.

Boris Johnson harshly about Donald Trump's plan for Ukraine. “Military castration of Ukraine”
The American plan assumes giving Russia Crimea, Donbas and additional areas currently controlled by Ukraine, as well as a drastic reduction of the Ukrainian army, a ban on Ukraine joining NATO and a Russian veto over the presence of allied troops on Ukrainian territory. Johnson estimates that such concessions would mean Kiev's permanent dependence on Moscow and expose Ukraine to further aggressions. He estimates that the plan leads to the “military castration” of the country.
“If Kiev agreed to these conditions, it would become a tool of Moscow, constantly threatened by a third invasion. This is a complete capitulation of Ukraine's so-called friends. This is Munich” – writes Johnson for the Daily Mail.
The former prime minister reminds that Great Britain has been one of Ukraine's most important allies for years – it supported it militarily, politically and diplomatically, often setting the tone for the European response to Russian aggression. Johnson emphasizes that he himself has repeatedly sought arms supplies for Kiev and regularly visited Ukraine, raising the morale of its defenders.
Therefore, the politician emphasizes that London's silence regarding the ultimatum given to Ukraine by Washington is incomprehensible to him. “Why don't we hear the voice of the British today? What is happening to the country that has so far been on the front line of support for Ukraine?” – asks the former prime minister in a text for a British newspaper.
The US plan for Ukraine. The talks in Geneva will decide
According to media reports, the plan was prepared during secret consultations between representatives of the US and Russia. The document has 28 points and covers four areas: peace in Ukraine, security guarantees, security architecture in Europe and future US relations with Moscow and Kiev.
US President Donald Trump set a cut-off date for Ukraine – November 27 – to adopt the plan, although he later suggested that the document could be modified. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine had received the plan from Washington. On Sunday, November 23, talks will be held in Geneva between representatives of the USA, Great Britain, European Union countries and Ukraine regarding the future of the provisions proposed by the Donald Trump administration.
