We are not hinting at anything, but Porsche has begun to massively register new domains in large regions of the Russian Federation. Where it was officially introduced until 2022.
At the beginning of March, Porsche Russland LLC submitted documents to register Russian domains in 17 cities of Russia – Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Izhevsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Mineralnye Vody, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Perm, Sochi, Voronezh, Ufa, Tyumen, Surgut and Samara. Plus a few for Moscow and St. Petersburg. Most of the domains are almost copies of the addresses of ex-Porsche representative offices in Russia – rolf-porsche instead of porsche-rolf, nevsky-porsche instead of porsche-nevsky, and so on.
Porsche Russland LLC is the official representative of Porsche in Russia, registered in August 2003. In 2021, the last time it showed a profit was 1.7 billion. In 2022 and beyond, it dropped to minus 248 million and minus 690 million rubles. The company is owned by the German Dr. Ing. H.S. F. Porsche Joint Stock Company and Porsche Center Hoppegarten GMBH LLC.
When asked why new website addresses are being registered, the company’s general director, Mikhail Fabrichnov, explained to us that this is secret information and he cannot talk about it yet.
