In Krasnoyarsk on November 30, Sunday, in the loft project “Kvadrat” (Krasnoy Armii St., 10 k4) the festival of street culture and contemporary art “ISKRAFEST: the city from the inside” will take place.

From 14:00 to 20:00 a thematic exhibition of paintings and photographs will be held for festival guests. Artists and photographers of various levels will present their works. The main theme of the festival was the unification of creators and city residents, the creation of a dialogue between the author and the audience.

“ISKRAFEST is a place where we want to tell the residents of our city more about street culture, initiate them into this topic and show that urban art is not abstract scribbles on the walls, but a whole separate deep layer of contemporary art,” said Daria Dmitrieva, director of the Zerkalo youth center.

In addition to the exhibition, the festival will have two stages: the first will host lectures on the topic “Contemporary Art” and “Organization of Exhibitions.” The speakers will be the curators of the Peace Square museum center, as well as Maria Bukova, candidate of philosophical sciences, art critic, member of the Council for Culture under the President of the Russian Federation in 2018-2024. The second stage will be musical; Krasnoyarsk performers “PLEEM”, “Key Real”, “CARWIK”, “VINYC & TORBO” will perform DJ sets for the audience.

During the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to express themselves by participating in master classes and interactive platforms. From 15:00 until the end of the festival there will be: a master class on collages, painting mini fences PO-2, painting aerosol cans, customizing things and objects, drawing with a tattoo machine on artificial leather, painting linocuts, as well as painting an artificial “wall”.

In addition, there will be an art market where you can buy handmade products from local artisans and second-hand clothes to purchase clothes that can be customized on site at one of the master classes.

Festival guests will also be able to take part in a sketch battle and a sticker battle, for winning which prizes and gifts will be prepared from the Zerkalo youth center and festival partners.
