The University of Craiova travels tomorrow, from 20:30, to Mioveni, for the duel with FC Argeș, and the atmosphere in the camp from Oltea seems optimistic.

The team's new coach, Filipe Coelho (45 years old), held his first press conference before an official match, and the Portuguese's speech was clear: the team is only going with the thought of victory.

Filipe Coelho, optimistic: “I'm very happy with what we found here. We're going to get the three points”

The Portuguese coach emphasized that the start of the collaboration with the players was a very good one:

“I had a good week, a very good first meeting with the players. I'm very happy with what I found here.

Everyone is doing exactly what they need to do to get the three points.”

Regarding the match against FC Argeș, Coelho expects a complicated game, but he is convinced that the University is ready:

“It will be a difficult game, for sure, but I think we are ready and the goal is to get the three points.”

The Portuguese praised the playing style of the people from Pitesti: “FC Argeș is very good in physical duels”

The technician explained that he has analyzed the opponents' game in detail and knows their strengths:

Arges is a very good opponent. Together with the staff I analyzed their team.

She is very good in physical duels, she has good players on offense and in the lanes, but we are ready.”

Asked about the players called to the national team, the Portuguese said that he is satisfied when his footballers end up representing the country:

“I'm glad we have players in the national teams. The only thing that upsets me is when a player gets injured, not the fact that he goes to the national team.”

Coelho also spoke about the chances of the “tricolors” to qualify for the World Cup, but also about a possible duel with Portugal

He also commented on Romania's chances of qualifying for the World Championship:

Why not? I hope Romania qualifies.”

Regarding a possible duel with Portugal, the technician maintained a pragmatic tone:

“I don't think about that. I think about my team.

If it's the match, that's ok, if it's not, that's it.

Mogoș reinforces the coach's message: “Everything depends on us and our attitude”

Along with Coelho, the right defender Vasile Mogoș (33 years old) was also present at the conference, who emphasized that the team kept its morale high regardless of the change of coach.

“The atmosphere in the dressing room has always been good, and now it is very good. We have to continue with our goal, the same one we had with the former coach.

I care if we win tomorrow. I think that thanks to the players and the coach we can succeed. This is what you prepare for.

I hope that tomorrow we will have the supporters with us, so that it will be easier for us.”

The full-back also spoke about Turkey, Romania's opponent in the World Cup qualifying round

The boys deserve to get to the World Cup and I really want them to qualify.

If I deserve it, I'll be there tooif not, I'm the first to raise my hand and say I'm staying at home. Now I don't deserve it.”
