Set 1:

On Sunday evening, at Tornio, a new episode of the Alcraz – Sinner rivalry will be consumed, a luxurious final, fitting to end an electrifying 2025 season.

Without question, the world No. 1 and No. 2 dominated the year, sharing all four majors and amassing 13 titles between them, including four ATP Masters 1000 trophies.

Head-to-head, the Murcian is 4-1 in head-to-head matches with Sinner this season, going 10-5 overall.

Even so, Alcaraz will have a tough job, especially since Sinner is playing in front of his own fans. Jannik is on a 30-game winning streak on indoor courts and will once again have an enthusiastic crowd behind him.

Reaching his 11th final of the year, the world number one is the first Spaniard to reach the final of the prestigious year-end competition since Rafael Nadal in 2013. Alcaraz is trying to become the first player from his country to lift the trophy since Alex Corretja in 1998, when the final was 100% Iberian, against Carlos Moya.

The reactions of the two finalists, before the match

Playing against Jannik indoors is one of the most difficult challenges we have in tennis right now. I think he's on a 30- or 31-game winning streak. We play in the hall, in front of his audience. That makes it even harder to play against him.

We'll see on Sunday, but I'm ready to take on the challenge and play some great tennis. Every time we face each other, we raise our level, which I think is great for tennis, for the circuit and for the public. This means that we are working very well on everything we do, it will be a new interesting duel, for sure.

That doesn't mean the game is over, not by a long shot. Winning the trophy would mean a lot to me as I have worked hard and focused in the last part of the year to be in top form for this tournament. To play good tennis and be able to lift the trophy at the end of these weeks would mean a lot to me, even more so to beat Jannik and be on the same list as Orantes and Corretja

– Carlos Alcaraz, before the final in Turin

I am very happy. The last tournament of the year. Great to end this way. It was a very difficult match. Especially the beginning of the first set. I felt he was serving incredibly. Very accurate. In the second set I managed to break very early. Then my level went up. I tried to be more aggressive, which worked very well.

It was a very difficult match. To make three consecutive finals in Turin means a lot to me. The atmosphere is great. An excellent place for me to play tennis. Also a great place to end this beautiful season we've had.

I hope to work a lot in the pre-season so that I can be ready for the next season. I hope I can serve like this throughout the season. To make the service as stable as possible. It worked very, very well. Especially at this tournament. Playing in the gym helps. It gives you a big advantage to be more confident. I am very satisfied with the work we are doing. Let's see what's next. Sunday is the last game of the season for me, so I'm very happy to finish with a final
